The Basics
Located in Middletown, New York, RECAP‘s The TRUST Center (Through Recovery U Stand Tall), is an outpatient treatment program that uses a combination of 12-step principles and evidence-based practices within a group and individual therapy setting. Its individualized and affordable programs also include psychoeducation, medication management, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and aftercare for substance abuse and dual diagnosis clients.
Treatment and Staff
Treatment begins with an assessment to determine the level of care needed. From there, a comprehensive program is devised to address substance abuse, financial, medical and vocational issues. Programs include a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and step-down outpatient care. A variety of treatment approaches, including holistic options, are available.
The PHP is a five-day a week program of up to six hours a day of treatment and lunch is provided. The IOP is three days a week for three hours at a time, while the step-down program is once or twice a week of one-hour group sessions.
Programs include group and individual therapy, with some groups being gender-specific. Sessions tackle relapse prevention, trauma, life skills, parenting, anger and crisis management. For those with co-occurring disorders, medication management is available. Additionally, this facility provides MAT for clients with an opiate addiction in the form of Suboxone. Holistic treatment include expressive or art therapy, nutritional education and acupuncture.
The staff is comprised of CADCs, physicians and RNs.
Extras
Family and couples counseling is also available, as well are smoking cession programs. Some case management services are also provided.
