Rancho Milagro Recovery Review
Rancho Milagro Recovery is a detox and residential treatment facility in the southern California town of Temecula. Its program is based on the 12 steps but also incorporates holistic approaches, including equine therapy. Programming applies unique, customized treatment plans that address every aspect of addiction and co-occurring disorders.
Accommodations and Food
The ranch-style luxury accommodations rest on 44 acres of land. The sprawling Spanish ranch hacienda provides clients with private rooms with en suite bathrooms, and scenic views from every room. The property also features a fitness room, a living room with with large flat screen TV, and a game room with billiards and ping pong table.
It’s worth mentioning, Rancho Milagro’s campus hosts several live animals, including cows, horses, pigs, and emu. The facility is surrounded by miles of nature and peaceful hiking trails. As a result, there are plenty of quiet outdoor seating spaces, and a garden.
The fully stocked kitchen boasts new appliances. A house chef prepares three meals a day. Residents always enjoy a healthy, well balanced cuisine.
Treatment and Staff
Detox is medically supported and supervised 24 hours a day. Depending on the substance and weight of the client, the time in detox varies. Once transitioned into the residential level of care, clients participate in structured, individualized schedules of group and individual therapy, 12-step meetings, socialization, animal assisted therapy and more. There are on-site AA meetings, and peer-led support groups on campus.
Groups cover topics like relapse prevention, coping skills and anger management. Clients have time throughout the day in between activities to relax as well. Typically, the therapeutic approaches are CBT and DBT.
Medication management is a part of programming. Dual diagnosis clientele have frequent meetings with medical staff to monitor their medication.
Staff includes a medical director, RNs, CADCs, LPCs, RADTs, and residential staff.
Extras
Activities offered in this program include yoga and hiking. There are also a number of expressive and holistic therapies used during treatment, such as art and music therapy.
