The Basics
Rainforest Recovery Center is a treatment organization contained within Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, Alaska. Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, clients go through an initial intake and assessment to help staff members develop individualized treatment plans to suit their needs. Detox services are provided on site along with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) whenever necessary. Once stabilized, clients begin treatment which generally lasts for 12 weeks and includes 10 individual sessions. Though group therapy may be available as a supplement to the program, the main outpatient track consists entirely of one-on-one care. Treatment is evidence-based and generally includes CBT and DBT though the specific modalities may vary depending on client needs. Dual diagnosis support and case management are also available. Treatment draws upon the Matrix Model and Seeking Safety. Though participants are welcome to attend 12-step meetings in addition to treatment, it’s not always a required part of the program.
The staff at Rainforest Recovery Center’s outpatient division consists of RNs, MDs, psychologists, LACs, LMSWs and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
As a part of Bartlett Regional Hospital, clients who attend one of the above programs can also receive medical care services as necessary as well. Those who finish a primary care regimen can also transition into a continuing care alumni groups as a form of aftercare.
