Rago and Associates in a Chicago based treatment facility founded by Dr. Maria Rago, PhD. It offers family, individual and group counseling services for a variety of mental health, addiction and co-occurring disorders. Rago facilitates individualized outpatient treatment through holistic and intensive services from a highly experienced team of clinicians with several specialities. Programming includes an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) aligned with alternative treatment methods that are tailored specifically to each client’s needs.
Treatment and Staff
Rago and Associates specializes in working with all ages, from children to older adults, within both a private and group setting in addition to family and couples services. Regardless of age, there are several programming options available, all of which are individualized to suit the client’s treatment goals. Younger clients mainly work in a one on one setting with a focus on self esteem, managing emotions and learning how to express themselves. The teen treatment tracks are similar to the children’s programs with the exception of addressing different issues that come up at that age. In both scenarios the parents are a large part of the success and are included on every step of therapy.
The IOP at Rago and Associates differs from other facilities in that it’s a highly flexible program that offers a variety of treatment options, specifically holistic and experiential, and in the amount of time that the client spends in treatment each week. There are individual and group therapy options, along with art and music therapy, trauma-informed care using Holographic Memory Resolution therapy, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing and desensitization and reprocessing, along with Equine Assisted Therapy. And for those who are seeking a particular kind of group that addresses a specific topic, the staff is able to start one for their clients if there is a need.
Treatment is geared towards clients with addiction and dual diagnosis problems, which include depression, anxiety and eating disorders. There is also help for those dealing with the death of a loved one or an illness, OCD or body image, as well as a nutritional therapy programs.
The staff is headed up by Maria Rago, who is the clinical director, along with Master’s-level therapists who are LMSWs, LPCs, art therapists, nutritionists, dietitians and CADCs.
