Quest 2 Recovery Review
Based out of Lancaster, California, Quest 2 Recovery is a residential treatment and detox facility that provides flexible services for men and women struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. While the stays are limited to 30 days, the program includes dual diagnosis support and detox all in one. Still, those who don’t want to stay for a full month can also elect to only do the detox portion.
Accommodations and Food
All told, the facility is comfortable residential home with six beds available for men and women in shared, gender-separate rooms. Each room comes with two queen-sized beds, comforters, nightstands and carpeted floors.
The residence also has shared common areas with couches and cable TV, outdoor lounge areas, a pool, a ping-pong table and a kitchen. Throughout their stay, all clients are served three meals a day on-site plus snacks by an on-staff chef.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, all participants go through an intake and assessment process to make sure the staff knows their needs and treatment history. Typically speaking, all residents go through detox before continuing onto therapy, though detox services are available on their own whenever necessary.
While all programs are individualized, clients can expect to attend both individual and group therapy with evidence-based practices including CBT and DBT. Groups cover many different topics including life skills, trigger identification, relapse prevention, emotional processing and psychoeducation. Beyond these clinical approaches, the facility also employs fitness trainers to lead residents through exercise groups and yoga classes. While 12-step participation may not always be required, it is strongly encouraged. Dual diagnosis and medication management services are available, along with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
The staff at Quest 2 Recovery consists of LMFTs, psychiatrists, doctors, CADCs, nurses, house managers and additional Master’s-level counselors.
Extras
While the lengths of stay are relatively short-term, the organization still works sober recreation and other activities into treatment. On a rotating basis, residents are taken on local outings and hiking trips on the weekends, though these activities can vary. As always, those who complete a primary care plan can also work with the staff to develop step-down aftercare plans as necessary.

Overall, Quest 2 Recovery is a well-rounded facility with comprehensive residential treatment for clients dealing with addiction and dual diagnosis issues. The facility’s programs are short-term with both medical and psychiatric oversight, evidence-based counseling, recreational weekend groups and 12-step support when applicable. Although clients looking for a long term program may need to find additional aid as well, Quest 2 Recovery remains a strong option worth considering.
