With locations in Clarkston and Pomeroy, Washington, Quality Behavioral Health is a multi-faceted organization that provides a range of services for behavioral health and addiction issues. Founded in 1972, the organization offers standard outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for adults and adolescents.

Treatment and Staff

After an initial assessment and intake evaluation, clients are referred to the appropriate treatment track where an they follow an individualized care plan. Though length and intensity varies, treatment works within the structure of individual and group therapy that uses evidence-based practices, such as CBT.

In general, IOP plans require a minimum of 15 clinical hours a week while outpatient requires only 10. For clients with a dual diagnosis, additional support, including medication management and trauma-informed care, is available. Though 12-step principles are not explicitly a part of treatment, clients are encouraged to attend off-site meetings to supplement their recovery.

While both locations provide therapy, the IOP is only available at the Pomeroy location, which operates as Garfield County Human Services. For the time being, the Clarkston location is limited to assessments, individual therapy and basic outpatient care.

The staff at Quality Behavioral Health consists of psychologists, psychiatrists, LMHCs, LCDCs and additional Master’s-level clinicians.

Extras

Additional services include specialized options like the “Keep It Simple” program for adults with co-occurring disorders and learning disabilities—specifically geared towards those with difficulty reading and writing. It also hosts a summer youth program for kids under 18 who are recovering from psychological and/or trauma-related issues.

Quality Behavioral also offers an eight-hour mental health first aid class that teaches the basics on how to respond in psychiatric emergencies. This certification program costs $50 per person in Pomeroy and $60 per person in Clarkston (with corresponding $25 and $30 prices for those with a student ID). It also hosts a 24-hour crisis hotline.

Other counseling options include standalone individual therapy, case management, counseling for sexual assault and abuse victims, a domestic violence program and marriage and family counseling. Drug and alcohol assessments, psychiatric evaluations, monthly monitoring and drug and alcohol classes for court-ordered clients are also available.

Aftercare groups are available through Quality Behavioral but it also offers referrals for outside programs.

In Summary

Overall, Quality Behavioral Health provides structured, individualized outpatient treatment with ample support for those with co-occurring disorders. All programs are rooted in evidence-based practices, though the facility also provides an impressive list of ancillary counseling options. For those in the area seeking comprehensive yet affordable behavioral heath care, Quality Behavioral Health is a valuable resource.
