The Basics
Profound Treatment is a private substance abuse treatment facility for men and women in West Los Angeles, California. Offering a continuum of care for those affected by addiction and co-occurring disorders, its programs include outpatient treatment as well as sober living and aftercare.
Profound Treatment was founded in 2015 by Trevis Smith, a CAC with more than a decade of experience in the field. Smith assembled a hand-picked team of professionals for Profound Treatment who are committed to providing a unique, upscale recovery experience.
Treatment and Staff
Profound Treatment offers completely individualized treatment programs for every client. The total length of the program depends on the person but varies from 30 days to six months. Programming includes a psychiatric evaluation, group, individual and family therapy as well as peer support meetings. Profound Treatment doesn’t offer a detox program but clients in need can be referred to an outside facility and then return for outpatient care once stabilized.
Profound offers groups dedicated to clients who require trauma-informed care and dual diagnosis support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar and personality disorders. A variety of methods are used, like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), psychodynamic processing and holistic approaches like mindfulness.
The staff is mostly made up of Master’s-level therapists whose credentials include CADC and MFT.
Extras
Profound Treatment also runs Profound Living, an upscale, co-ed sober living home located on the west side of LA near shopping, restaurants and 12-step meetings. Both private and double-occupancy rooms are available and bathrooms are typically shared with at least one other resident. Clients benefit from on-site staff, in-house recovery meetings and medication management, if needed. Food is included in the cost of stay but clients build life skills by shopping for groceries and taking turns preparing their own meals. Transportation is provided to the clinical facility for outpatient treatment.
Profound Treatment’s aftercare program is Profound In Action; an ongoing therapy in addition to career and educational counseling, sober monitoring and specialized support for high-stress life events. This program is available to any client that has participated in Profound Treatment’s outpatient program.
