Priory Hospital Rhodes Recovery is a secondary level treatment facility under The Priory Group. It offers a series of supportive services as clients begin re-acclimating into their communities. Programming employs a number of integrative therapies and 12-step support. Rhodes Recovery is open to men and women struggling with substance abuse, gambling, sex, shopping, or a combination of these addictions. Basically, they begin to plan for the future while still receiving comprehensive and supportive treatments.
Accommodations and Food
The 16 bed residential facility is in Mill Hill, a London suburb. Because of this location, there is easy access to several shops, restaurants, fitness areas, gyms, public transportation, and walking paths. The bedrooms are single occupancy with private bathrooms.
The residential community includes two large kitchens and dining rooms, along with a multi-purpose lounge for recreational and therapeutic activities. Rhodes Recovery campus includes several landscaped gardens and outdoor spaces that are used for exercise and meditation.
During this phase of treatment, clients begin to learn a variety of life skills including grocery shopping and cooking. Rhodes Recovery staff prepare some meals in this level of treatment but clients also take turns making meals for each other.
Treatment and Staff
The first two weeks of programming at Priory Hospital Rhodes Recovery is the most intensive. This time is used for acclimating to every day scheduling and mainly staying on campus. After this initial period clients really start to focus on their life skills and planning to go back to their communities.
During the secondary level of treatment clients receive around 15 to 20 hours of programming. It consists of group and individual therapy that focuses on trauma and developmental therapies. There are always two group sessions running at the same time along with several individual sessions. Sessions address issues like anger management and interpersonal relationships. There is also a strong focus on improving self esteem and empowerment. On average this program lasts around three months, though clients are expected to commit to at least 30 days.
Aside from therapy, a large portion of time in treatment is clients working with their primary therapist on an aftercare plan and reintegration. Therefore they can expect to practice their interview skills and volunteer within the community.
Clinicians utilize CBT, DBT, mindfulness and EMDR during therapy. They aim to help with trauma and PTSD.
Staff at the Rhodes Recovery facility are addiction therapists, occupational therapists, and consulting psychiatrists.
Extras
The facility is near several local attractions. As such, staff encourages clients to explore during downtimes. Resident can enjoy a local spa, farm, a shopping center, gym, trampoline park and movie theater.
There are family days at the facility as well as the integration of home visits during treatment, and couples therapy.

The program at this facility is intended to help clients get ready to return to their communities. The main idea is gaining the proper knowledge and skills to remain sober after they return home, because they will undoubtedly face old triggers. In addition, there is an emphasis on building self esteem and repairing relationships that is especially empowering.
