The Basics
Located just outside of Detroit, Michigan, St. Clair Shores Treatment Services is a member of the Pinnacle provider network, which operates a number of outpatient and residential facilities throughout Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Virginia, Ohio, Minnesota and Michigan. St. Clair Shores is an outpatient treatment facility for individuals suffering from chemical dependency—opiates in particular. While Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) using methadone is used to treat the symptoms of opiate withdrawal, St. Clair Shores also provides traditional therapeutic services to treat the physical, mental and emotional aspects of addiction.
Treatment and Staff
With a number of treatment facilities across multiple states, Pinnacle provides drug and alcohol addiction treatment and services to over 8,000 adults daily. All treatment plans are individualized and patient-driven. MAT is overseen by medical staff, with doses and frequency varying based on the client’s individual needs. MAT doses are regularly reassessed by the medical team to ensure clients are progressing in their recovery. Suboxone is also available for those who qualify.
Clients are also matched with skilled counselors to receive individual therapy once a week, while group therapy is scheduled three times a week (attendance is optional). Twelve-step meetings are not available on-site, but clients are encouraged to attend community meetings. There are seven staff members, including LDACs, two nurses and an MD. As there are no psychiatrists on staff, St. Clair Shores does not provide dual diagnosis support.

Referrals are provided to Pinnacle network and outside facilities for those requiring more intensive services or mental health support.
