Pinnacle Peak Recovery Review
Pinnacle Peak Recovery is an expansive rehab located in Scottsdale, Arizona. It provides a full continuum of treatment services for clients struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. The facility has been accredited by the Joint Commission as well as by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), and offers personalized treatment for both men and women. In addition to its more flexible outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Pinnacle Peak also provides residential treatment.
Accommodations and Food
All told, Pinnacle Peak Recovery has a total of 50 beds for both men and women in apartment-style residences. Both private and shared rooms are available with full beds, dressers, nightstands and basic storage space. All residents are housed separately by gender. In addition to the rooms themselves, the facility comes furnished with upscale amenities including an outdoor swimming pool, shared common areas, cable TV and WiFi. Throughout their stay, residents are served three meals a day by on-staff chefs.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, all clients go through an initial intake and assessment process to help staff members determine their needs. While on-site detox is not available, the organization works with other local detox programs to place clients as necessary before they continue on to treatment.
Though each program is designed differently for men and women’s needs, treatment plans typically full days of treatment with both individual and group therapy. Dual diagnosis support including medication management is available, along with 12-step integration as well. All therapy sessions include evidence-based treatment practices including CBT, DBT and EMDR. In addition to these methods, the organization also uses holistic and experiential therapies including yoga, Tai Chi, art therapy and mindfulness training as well. Group sessions cover a wide range of topics including anger management, life skills, family therapy and gender-specific recovery topics. Programs typically last between 30 to 90 days.
The staff at Pinnacle Peak Recovery consists of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, physicians, LMFTs, LACs, case managers, art therapists and additional Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
Other services include free transportation services are available as well to take clients to and from off-site activities. All residents also receive LA Fitness memberships along with the price of admission and visit the gym regularly as part of their treatment. Other experiential options, including wilderness therapy and equine therapy, are also offered, along with off-site social trips to go hiking, see movies and go bowling. Those who complete one of the above programs can also work with staff members to develop step-down aftercare plans.
