The Basics
Since 2006, Hanover Treatment Services has been in operation as part of the Pinnacle Treatment Centers group of substance abuse treatment facilities. Located in Hanover, Pennsylvania, HTS’ services are limited to outpatient Medically-Assisted Treatment (MAT) with basic therapeutic services for clients struggling with opioid dependence. The facility’s approach utilizes both methadone and Suboxone as prescribed medications alongside individual and group therapy using evidence-based methods of treatment, including CBT.
The Pinnacle provider network operates a number of inpatient, outpatient and residential facilities throughout Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, Virginia, Ohio, Minnesota and Michigan.
Treatment and Staff
The frequency of each client’s attendance is dependent upon the results of an assessment at intake, part of which includes successfully passing a urinalysis test. Clients work with a doctor and a nurse to develop a treatment plan; those in the methadone program must complete a required number of group and individual sessions per month in order to remain enrolled, while those receiving Suboxone come in for treatment once a week for the first two weeks, then continue to attend individual therapy every other week.
Additionally, both treatment tracks at Hanover offer educational substance abuse classes, mental health support for clients who have co-occurring disorders and assistance with the development of life skills that allow them to reintegrate into everyday society. The nearby community offers a variety of AA/NA meetings which clients are encouraged to attend if they wish to be introduced to the 12-step approach.
Hanover business hours are Monday through Sunday from 6 am to 2:30 pm and dosing hours run from 6 to 11 am. It should be noted that Hanover only accepts clients who have been dependent on heroin or other opiates for at least a year.
Hanover Treatment Services employs a medical doctor, registered nurse and Licensed Substance Abuse Counselors (LSACs).

In an effort to help clients develop a support system outside of treatment, Hanover Treatment Services arranges family sessions and counseling upon request.
