The Basics
Georgetown Medical is a satellite facility of NKY Med, a treatment program under the Pinnacle Treatment Centers network. For over 40 years, Pinnacle has provided Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Kentucky, Virginia and Michigan. Services at the Georgetown location in Kentucky are outpatient, with individualized treatment options enabling clients to receive care while still meeting their responsibilities at home.
Treatment and Staff
Georgetown Medical offers treatment tailored for adults who are struggling with opioid dependency. Utilizing MAT, clients are prescribed Suboxone or methadone depending on the outcome of an assessment. Potential clients may walk into the facility Monday through Friday or schedule an appointment over the phone. Assessments also determine whether clients require treatment for co-occurring disorders. Once clients begin the detox process, they receive MAT daily and are monitored by medical staff.
Dosing hours are from 5:30 to 11 am, Monday through Friday, with office hours from 6 am to 1 pm. Weekend dosing hours are from 6 to 8 am and the office is open from 7 to 9 am. Office hours are dedicated to providing group therapy and psychoeducation classes. LADCs help to develop life skills and relapse prevention techniques. Dual diagnosis support and medication management may be available depending on the client’s diagnosis.
Clinical staff utilize evidence-based treatment methods as well as 12 steps. Clients are urged to attend AA/NA meetings in the local community. Drug testing is regularly enforced to ensure clients are abstinent.
Extras
Referrals for community services are available including more intensive therapeutic treatment and housing situations. Counselors also offer referrals for sober living facilities.
