The Basics
Phoenix Associates Counseling Services, Inc was founded 2010 in Fort Worth, Texas. Today, it has locations in Arlington, Garland and Fort Worth, all providing outpatient substance abuse treatment to adult men and women.
Treatment and Staff
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) consists of both group and individual counseling but the exact length and intensity of the program is based on counselor assessment. Groups are offered in the evenings, Monday through Friday, and consist of 10 to 15 clients. Counselors use a variety of treatment techniques including CBT, DBT, education, sharing and relapse prevention. Individual sessions are available based on the needs of the clients. Although the organization is not 12-step oriented, counselors do recommend clients attend local AA and NA meetings to supplement their treatment.
Phoenix Associates is equipped to treat clients with a dual diagnosis and offers additional support through individual sessions with a mental health counselor.
The substance abuse counselors are all LCDCs.
Extras
Upon client request, Phoenix can facilitate individual family sessions with the client and their loved ones.
The organization offers an aftercare program that consists of individual sessions and case management services.
