Origins of Hope Review
Based out of Atlantis, Florida, Origins of Hope is small behavioral health facility that provides a range of treatment programs for women struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. It provides intimate and individualized treatment plans to fit the needs of each client. In addition to its outpatient option, Origins of Hope also provides residential treatment for those seeking more intensive care.
Accommodations and Food
Residents stay in one of several villas, each with semi-private rooms. The facility can host a total of 10 women at a time. Each room comes with full beds, bedside tables, dressers and shared closet space. Each residence also boasts in-home laundry, fully-equipped kitchens with granite countertops and shared living areas with cable TV. In addition to the villas, the facility also has a Japanese-style pergola and a heated salt-water pool. Throughout their stay, residents cook and prepare their own meals.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, clients go through an intake and assessment process to help staff members determine their needs. While detox services are not offered, those in need can get referrals to nearby programs. Stays last for a minimum of 30 days and dual diagnosis support is available.
Once stabilized, clients attend full days of treatment Monday through Friday with both individual and group therapy rooted in evidence-based practices like CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and trauma-informed care. Groups cover a range of topics including 12-step recovery concepts, psychoeducation, social skills, recreational therapy and case management.
The staff at Origins of Hope consists of LMHCs, MDs, psychiatrists, LPCs, LMFTs and additional Master’s-level therapists.
Extras
In addition to its clinical approaches, the facility also employs plenty of holistic methods including equine therapy, acupuncture and yoga. Origins of Hope can facilitate counseling for domestic violence, vocational training, childcare and parenting skills classes.
Other treatment tracks are available as step down options including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and standard outpatient tracks.
