Clients engage in regular individual and group therapy that utilizes CBT and DBT as well as holistic methods like yoga, meditation, mindfulness and visualization techniques, art therapy and social skills. Specialized groups focus on goal setting, personal passions, career development, life skills and academic planning.
The facility also offers treatment for individuals struggling with an array of addictions including substance use and eating disorders, gambling, sex and love, computer and self harm. Clients undergo individual and group therapy and learn successful coping skills. For example, individuals with eating disorders learn about body image and nutritional planning, and clients with substance use disorders learn strategies for relapse prevention and attend local 12-step support meetings.
The OPI team is comprised of Master’s-level therapists, case managers, psychiatrists and nutritionists. For individuals in need of dual diagnosis support, medication management is available.

In addition, recreational opportunities are provided including music jam sessions, tennis, art, writing, cooking, hiking and weekend outings.
OPI assists outpatient clients in finding a nearby apartment, often with a roommate in the same program.
