The Basics
With facilities in Los Angeles and Encino, California, Of One Mind is a treatment organization that provides a range of flexible programs to adults and adolescents struggling with addiction and other behavioral health issues. In addition to its sober living facility, both outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are available to adolescents and adults ages 18 and up.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning a program, all incoming clients go through an initial intake and assessment to help develop their treatment plans. While detox services aren’t offered on-site, those in need can get referrals to nearby programs. In both the teen and young adult program tracks, clients can attend up to three sessions a day, up to five days a week. As each participant’s needs differ, schedules are usually flexible.
Each program consists primarily of group therapy with evidence-based practices including CBT and DBT, though some individual sessions are worked in as well. The topics covered in groups are relatively all-encompassing, including self-esteem issues, trauma-informed care, relapse prevention, anger management, life skills education, family therapy and academic counseling. While not all clients at Of One Mind are struggling with addiction, those who are may be required to attend 12-step meetings in addition to therapy. Support for a range of co-occurring disorders is also provided.
The staff at Of One Mind consists of MDs, psychologists, LMFTs, CADCs and additional Master’s and PhD-level counselors.
Extras
Of One Mind also provides on-site drug testing, medication consultations and sober coaching services as part of its program. Other resources include after school drug and alcohol education programs for young teens and crisis intervention services. The same outpatient programs described above can also be done in a more controlled environment by attending Of One Mind’s sober living program as well. Those who finish primary care can also continue with therapy at a stepped down rate as necessary.

Overall, Of One Mind’s outpatient programs provide a range of treatment services for adolescents, young adults and their families. Programs include evidence-based care as well as life skills sessions and 12-step support for those with addiction. Though the cost of these programs may vary depending on each client’s insurance, those seeking family-oriented outpatient care would do well by considering Of One Mind.
