Since 1998, Nova Vitae Treatment Center has been offering 12-step based substance abuse treatment in Woodland Hills, California. Nova provides inpatient treatment in a private residential setting and outpatient services at their office. It also offers counseling to adults and adolescents for anxiety issues, domestic violence and depression. Accommodations and Food
Set up like a really nice home, Nova Vitae’s inpatient facility offers clients private bedrooms with their own closets and bathrooms. Typically, the Nova Vitae house is shared between only two to four people at a time. The house is very luxurious and privacy is paramount, thus its specific location can not be disclosed.
The compound features a gym, pool and lounge area with Netflix and Apple TV enabled television. Recliners, theatre seating and games can also be found in the comfortable interior. Meals are included in cost of stay and organic breakfasts, lunches and dinners are provided, as well as snacks. Nova clients only need bring their own toiletries and clothes meant for lounging. Treatment and Staff
Rapid detox may take up to five days while regular detox lasts seven to 10—it depends on the individual. Modalities utilized include SMART, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and guided imagery techniques in addition to the 12 steps. Once a client has completed residential treatment they may step down to outpatient services which are based on an individualized treatment plan and charged per session. Nova has several therapists on staff who are trained to provide dual diagnosis support.
The staff of Nova Vitae is comprised of several medical doctors, including a Harvard graduate and an addictionologist, as well as nurses and a number of CDACs.
