The Basics
Located located on the east shore of Puget Sound, approximately halfway between Seattle and Tacoma, is Des Moines, Washington, home to Northwest Resources One, LLC. This facility provides basic outpatient substance abuse treatment for the surrounding cities.
Treatment and Staff
Northwest Resources One offers both an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and an outpatient program. Both programs offer a variety of services, such as individual, group and family therapy, an introduction to the 12 steps and interactive journaling. Individualized treatment plans are tailor-made to meet the specific needs of each client.
Northwest Resources One’s philosophy is addiction is a disease with biological, social and environmental factors contributing to its manifestation. The center helps clients to acknowledge and treat these various factors. Each client addresses the following in their course of treatment: their acceptance of having a disease, their development of a recovery plan (including relapse prevention), development of a clean and sober social support group and any emotional problems. The only difference between the IOP and the outpatient program is IOP is nine hours or more per week, and the other program is anything less than nine hours.
Extras
In addition to its outpatient programs, Northwest Resources One offers a variety of other services to their clients. Alcohol Drug Information School is offered for clients and community members intending to educate themselves or provide intervention information for a loved one. This facility also provides various referral services. The staff will refer individuals to other facilities to provide the services they do not, such as detox, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), dual diagnosis support and inpatient treatment programs. Attorney referrals can also be made for those who have been arrested for substance abuse related crimes or charged with a DUI.
In Summary
Northwest Resources One LLC is a no frills operation, but they have a solid treatment philosophy at an affordable price. Individuals who are not in need of inpatient treatment but seeking a basic outpatient program may should consider this a great option.
