The Basics
With locations in Shelton, Lacey and Olympia, Washington, Northwest Resources II is a state-certified treatment facility founded in 1993. Between its various locations, the organization provides court-ordered treatment for DUI/DWI as well as outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for addiction.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning treatment, clients go through an initial intake and assessment process so that an individualized treatment plan may be developed. While specifics may vary, the standard outpatient track consists of nine hours or less of weekly treatment while the IOP is nine hours or more. Both programs work within the structure of individual and group therapy that employ evidence-based practices, such as Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). Some holistic methods are also used, like acupuncture and interactive journaling. Clients are also taught the basics of the 12 steps and are encouraged to attend off-site meetings.
The staff consists of case managers, CDPs, LMHCs and additional Bachelor’s and Master’s-level clinicians.
Extras
Aside from outpatient care, the facility also provides inpatient programs for men. Additional services include DUI classes, Alcohol and Drug Information School (ADIS), assessments and intervention services. Standalone mental health counseling is also available as necessary. Case management for clients with co-occurring disorders who are finishing treatment is also provided.
In Summary
In all, Northwest Resources II Outpatient is a well-rounded behavioral health facility that offers outpatient addiction treatment options for adults. Treatment is evidence-based and includes both 12-step support and holistic care. While more geared towards addiction recovery than mental health, clients with co-occurring disorders can still find support here.
