The Basics
North Wasatch Recovery is a substance abuse treatment program for men and women in Ogden, Utah. The treatment model includes structured outpatient therapy programs including a Day Treatment/Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and a basic outpatient program referred to as General Outpatient (GOP). All programs provide dual diagnosis support for those with co-occurring disorders. North Wasatch also operates a gender-specific sober living home for men.
Treatment and Staff
Many clients come to the outpatient programs at North Wasatch Recovery after completing a residential stay elsewhere but its programming is also a solid option for those seeking an alternative to traditional inpatient care. Treatment begins with an initial assessment to develop an individualized treatment plan. Though each program may vary, the full continuum of care is designed to be completed in no more than eight weeks. Therapy employs evidence-based practices like CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI). There are also specialized sessions geared towards providing dual diagnosis support for those with PTSD, trauma and mood disorders like anxiety and depression. Clients are encouraged to attend 12-step meetings and some of the principles are incorporated during treatment.
The most intensive program at North Wasatch Recovery is PHP. This level of care is designed for clients who need rigorous structured treatment while living at home or in a sober house. This program runs Mondays through Fridays from 9 am to 2 pm. Clients attend groups either four or five days a week, depending on their needs, and also have individual therapy once or twice a week. The IOP is designed to be a step down from PHP. IOP consists of four groups per week for three hours each and one individual session Mondays through Fridays. The GOP level of care is two to four hours of group and individual sessions, two days a week. Therapy is offered in both the days and evenings in order to accommodate the clients’ work or school schedules.
The team at North Wasatch Recovery consists of an MFT, LCSWs and support staff.
Extras
North Wasatch Recovery also offers aftercare, which consists of monthly alumni groups and individual sessions as needed for six months.
