The Basics
Since 1997, North Texas Addiction Counseling and Education, Inc. has been providing outpatient substance abuse treatment to the residents of Arlington, Texas, a large city near Dallas and Ft. Worth. NTACE has both standard outpatient and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and credentialed staff you utilize evidence-based methods of treatment. It also operates a methadone clinic in nearby Lake Worth.
Treatment and Staff
After an assessment, clients are enrolled in either the IOP or standard outpatient track. Standard outpatient clients attend group therapy once or twice a week, usually for a total of 16 weeks. They also attend individual therapy, usually once a week. IOP clients make an initial commitment to eight weeks of treatment involving group therapy three times a week and individual therapy once a week. After completing their initial treatment plan, IOP clients may step down to standard outpatient treatment.
The treatment team at NTACE includes LCDC and LPCs. The treatment team uses CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) and encourages clients to attend peer support meetings such as AA/NA or SMART Recovery while in treatment. While the treatment team addresses co-occurring disorders in group and individual settings, clients needing dual diagnosis support are referred to nearby mental health clinics for additional therapy and medication.
Extras
NTACE offers anger management and DWI classes. For aftercare, outpatient clients can attend a weekly relapse prevention group and are encouraged to check in with their primary counselor for support and guidance.
