The Basics
Located 30 miles northeast of San Diego in Escondido, California, North Inland Regional Recovery Center is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for the treatment of alcohol and drug addiction in adults. As a subsidiary of the expansive Mental Health Systems, which has facilities all across California, North Inland Regional Recovery Center provides care to self-referred and court-ordered clientele, including those who want to enroll under C1000, Prop 36 and AB109.
Treatment and Staff
After an initial assessment, clients begin an individualized treatment protocol. They typically begin at the IOP and attend treatment at least three times a week for three hours. The care is comprised of group and individual therapy using the evidence-based methods of CBT and REBT, with a focus on gender-specific and culturally sensitive care. Individuals who are participating in treatment are required to attend regular 12-step meetings off-site and provide proof of attendance, especially in the case of those who are court-ordered. Support for those with co-occurring disorders is also offered.
Staff is made up of AOD counselors, CATCs, Master’s level therapists and case managers.
Extras
Other services include assessments and drug testing, HIV education and testing and referrals to other community agencies. Gender-specific parenting classes and Spanish-speaking services are also offered at this location.
