With many facilities throughout Florida, Texas, New Jersey and California, Niznik Behavioral Health is a wide-ranging behavioral health organization that provides treatment services to clients struggling with addiction and related behavioral health issues. Niznik offers a full continuum of care across its many locations including detox, outpatient care and sober living services. Programs are available to adolescents and adults alike.
Treatment and Staff
All told, the organization has seven different locations, namely Harbor Village, Safe Landing and Comfort Recovery in Miami, Florida; Discovery Point Retreat in Waxahachie, Texas; and Palms Detox, Paradise Detox and Hope Canyon in San Diego, California. Discovery Point Retreat and Safe Landing provide residential treatment. Discovery Point, Palms Detox, Paradise Detox, Hope Canyon and Harbor Village all facilitate detox services. Finally, Comfort Recovery is outpatient-only and Harbor Village also offers sober living services.
Though all programs are individualized and the services may vary by location, treatment includes both individual and group therapy with evidence-based treatment practices including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and EMDR. The curriculum also includes holistic methods such as yoga, meditation, experiential therapy and more. Dual diagnosis services are also available along with 12-step integration. Groups cover a wide range of issues including life skills, relapse prevention, trigger identification, emotional processing and anger management.
While outpatient services are flexible, inpatient detox stays typically last between seven to 10 days. Residential programs can range from 30 to 90 days.
Though each location has its own care teams, the staff at Niznik Behavioral Health facilities generally consists of LPCs, LMHCs, LCSWs, nurse practitioners, case managers, consulting physicians and psychiatrists and additional Master’s-level counselors.
Extras
The organization has plans to open another location in New Jersey called Estell Manor. Anyone who completes a primary care program can also work with counselors to develop stepped down aftercare and discharge plans as necessary, moving between levels at the facilities listed above as necessary.
