Next Step offers individualized treatment programming tailored to the unique needs and goals of the client. To this end, the facility employs an integrative care approach that utilizes a range of therapeutic methods including solution-focused therapy, process groups, anger management workshops, relapse prevention, hypnotherapy, the 12-step method and psychoeducation. In addition, the facility offers evidence-based CBT and EMDR to treat past trauma through the use of eye stimulation.
The treatment length at Next Step varies greatly depending on the individual and the condition. Some clients engage in open-ended treatment, while others go through a short-term program that typically lasts between six and 10 sessions. For clients in addiction treatment, a structured PHP lasts 12 weeks from 10 am to 4 pm on weekdays. The IOP is available on a step-down basis and can last up to a year.
The Next Step Therapy team is comprised of therapists, addiction specialists and a clinical hypnotherapist. While the facility offers psychotherapy and addiction counseling, there is no physician on staff. As such, medication management is not available for dual diagnosis clients.

Next Step provides employee assistance programming for individuals with substance use and eating disorders. Treatment includes drug screenings, assessment, mental health services, relapse prevention, aftercare and workshops.
