New England Recovery Center Review
New England Recovery Center is located in Westborough, Massachusetts, and offers several evidence-based treatment programs including detox, residential inpatient and outpatient tracks. Throughout the building there are shared lounges with TVs and quiet rooms used for reading or board games. There are also housekeeping services that include laundry.
There is a shared dining room where three nutritious meals are served on a daily basis. Meals can also be altered to accommodate those with specific dietary needs, like gluten free, low glycemic and vegetarian. There are also snacks set out around the clock and coffee service.
Treatment and Staff
The detox and inpatient treatment programs admission process begins with an intake assessment followed by the client being assigned to a clinician who is able to serve as a point person throughout their stay. Those entering into detox as the first step usually experience a four to six day medically monitored process that is overseen by medical professionals 24 hours a day to ensure the safest detox possible. Following that stuff there is a two to four week inpatient program that consists of daily group therapy, 12-step meetings, recreational activities, and a focus on health and wellness along with relapse prevention education.
Treatment is all evidence-based and focuses on each clients specific treatment needs and goals. Therapeutic approaches include CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and EMDR. There are also several individual sessions scheduled weekly and an emphasis on learning new coping skills. In addition clients with co-occurring disorders are provided with programming that is geared towards dual diagnosis support.
The staff that leads these programs are all Master’s-level therapists, nurses, medical doctors and LPCs.
Extras
Family services are included in each client’s program track and can be utilized through in person or over the phone counseling sessions, group therapy, and ongoing support groups, like Al-Anon.
