Nanette Zumwalt is a Board Registered Interventionist Level II (BRI-II), a CADC and a Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional. Zumwalt is also the President and CEO of Hired Power, an organization in Huntington Beach, California that was the first company to professionalize transition services for those in the recovery process from substance abuse and addiction. Zumwalt and staff provide Personal Recovery Assistant services as well as Sober Monitoring and case management services. Zumwalt specializes in working with clients who have substance abuse and mental health issues, however, Hired Power also offers special interventions for executives and adolescents and those with sex and gambling addictions as well as eating disorders.
The Background
Zumwalt offers over 20 years of experience in the field of addiction and recovery. She has personal interest in the field as some of her loved ones suffered from addiction and she participated in the interventions held for them.
The Approach
As a past board member and a current participating member of the Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS), Zumwalt has extensive knowledge of numerous different intervention models and remains up to date on new and emerging methods of treatment and intervention. Depending on the case, Zumwalt utilizes the intervention model she believes is the best fit for that client and their family.
After an initial consultation, if treatment is deemed necessary following the intervention, Zumwalt refers clients to a variety of treatment programs making intake arrangements with the selected program. She follows up with case management services as the client progresses through treatment.
Hired Power also offers personal recovery assistants, safe transportation to all programs, meetings and facilities and sober monitoring services for criminal justice clients.
Post-Intervention and Summary
Referrals and arrangements for aftercare programs are provided for individuals and families if desired. As president and CEO of Hired Power, Zumwalt is a credentialed and experienced professional with a strong commitment to the field of recovery and the families of addicts seeking help for their loved one.
