miracle terraceThe Basics

Located in the exciting Miracle Mile neighborhood of Los Angeles—between Beverly Hills and the mansions of historic  Hancock Park—is Miracle Terrace, a coed sober living environment. In addition to luxurious amenities and rooms for men, women—and even couples—Miracle Terrace has a strict, structured schedule to keep clients on the path to recovery. Clients must agree to certain conditions if they wish to live at Miracle Terrace, such as having a 12-step sponsor and doing daily chores.

Accommodations and Amenities

Miracle Terrace clients stay in a large, modern home at the end of a residential street. Clients have the option of a room with two beds or three beds or they may pay an additional cost for a private room. Each beautifully finished room comes equipped with a flat-screen TV, a DVD player and Wi-Fi. The house also has computers for the client’s use, a fully-equipped, newly-remodeled kitchen, a washer and dryer, meditation areas, outdoor sitting areas and a barbecue.

Clients are responsible for buying their own food and preparing their own meals, and for cleaning up after themselves.

Rules and Regulations

Before becoming a resident of Miracle Terrace, clients must first agree to several conditions that the staff think will help them to maintain a sober lifestyle. Clients must have a 12-step sponsor, attend a minimum of three 12-step meetings per week, and participate in assigned chores, and of course any alcohol or drugs of any kind are prohibited. There is also random drug testing and educational seminars on the basics of addiction, substance abuse  and how to life a healthy lifestyle.

Clients must also attend daily house meetings and chemical dependency counseling, maintain cleanliness standards and tidiness, and respect strict curfews.

Extras

In addition to the upscale accommodations, household amenities, and structured living plan, Miracle Terrace also provides referrals to outpatient programs for clients in need of more intensive treatment in addition to sober living.

In Summary

Miracle Terrace has much to offer for those looking for a sober living environment with luxury accommodations and a strict commitment to maintaining sobriety. It may be a particularly good fit for those serious about staying sober using 12-step modalities.
