Milestone Detox Review
Milestone Detox is located in San Juan Capistrano, in south Orange County, California. San Juan Capistrano is a scenic beachside city filled with Spanish architecture from its days as a Catholic mission.
Milestone provides co-ed detox in a spacious suburban home. The facility partners with several area residential and outpatient treatment programs in the area to help clients continue their recovery journey once they’ve medically stabilized. Milestone has been in operation since 2014.
Accommodations and Food
The well-appointed home has six beds, with two shared bedrooms and two private bedrooms. TV and games are available in the home’s common areas, and the home has a laundry facility. The residence is one mile from the beach and features ample yard space for relaxing and congregating. A private chef creates customized meals based on clients’ preferences and nutritional needs.
Treatment and Staff
Residents usually complete detox in three to 10 days. Milestone endeavors to promote “a culture of personal growth” to its residents. It employs an LMFT who provides individual therapy to clients as soon as they’re able to maintain focus and concentration. During their stay, clients also meet with a case manager to help them locate further treatment options appropriate for their goals, location and budget.
Extras
As they stabilize, clients can participate in yoga, music and massage therapy. Milestone can also transport clients to nearby 12-step meetings. Milestone has transportation services to and from nearby airports, ensuring safe and discreet travel to and from detox.
