Accommodations and Food
Melrose Recovery Group is headquartered in Anaheim, but the boutique detox and residential programs operate at undisclosed locations in the LA area. There is a clinical facility where detox takes place and a co-ed house with six beds. The facilities are designed to create safe environments for building a foundation in recovery. Men and women reside in gender-specific, semi-private bedrooms furnished with twin beds, closets and luxurious bedding. Adjoining bathrooms contain tubs and showers. Comfortable indoor and outdoor sitting areas create an inviting atmosphere.
All meals are prepared by private chefs and served at set times. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated, upon request.
Treatment and Staff
Melrose Recovery offers individualized programs for every client. An assessment determines where new clients fit on the continuum of care. Within 24 hours of admission, additional assessments that include medical history and physical and psychological evaluations are completed. Clients who require detox can begin with medically monitored care for a duration that is typically three to five days. During detox, staff administers safe and appropriate medications to make clients feel as comfortable as possible. After detox, clients transition immediately to the residential program.
Daily treatment consists of multiple group sessions a day, at least one individual session a week and off-site AA/NA meetings. Peer support meetings are also offered on-site several evenings a week. There are groups that are specifically dedicated to co-occurring disorders and treatment can include medication management if needed. Therapy methods include psychoeducation, CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and holistic approaches like meditation, nutritional counseling and massage therapy.
The staff is made up of MDs, LVNs, MFTs, CADCs and LCSWs.
Extras
Melrose Recovery Group offers a free family program for loved ones that includes group therapy and classes. The motivational teachings of Melrose’s founder, Tim Storey, are incorporated into treatment through videos and lectures.
