Marvelous Light Consultants LLC is an outpatient clinic in Decatur, Georgia that treats adults, adolescents, couples and families in need of behavioral health support. Treatment and Staff
Treatment at Marvelous Light Consultants begins with an assessment led by a clinician. Following the assessment, each client is matched with a counselor who can best meet their needs. Together with their counselors, clients develop an individualized treatment plan that includes goals for recovery. Those with co-occurring disorders have access to an on-site psychiatrist for medication management services.
Sessions are available to individuals of all ages struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders. Individual therapy typically meets for 45 minutes to an hour at a time. While each treatment plan varies, typical schedules include at least one of these sessions a week. During these therapy sessions, therapists cover a variety of topics including the disease of addiction, relapse prevention, stress management, co-occurring disorders, anger management, depression, anxiety, trauma, coping skills and vocational goals. Aside from these issues, therapists can also address other concerns pertinent to each person’s unique situation.
Children and adolescents receiving treatment can be seen by professionals who specialize primarily in working with younger individuals. Specialists address issues such as peer interactions, phobias, stress at school, ADHD, childhood trauma, extreme mood swings and anxiety.
Staff members include LADCs, LPCs, MFTs and therapists who specialize in child and adolescent issues. Treatment techniques include CBT and DBT.
Extras
In addition to the services mentioned above, couples and families are offered therapy as needed. Court-ordered clients are also welcome and are provided with court-ordered assessments. Lastly, MLC provides consultation and training services as well when necessary.
