The Basics
Lumion Center, previously the Control Center, is located in Beverly Hills, California. The organization provides flexible outpatient treatment plans for a wide range of behavioral health issues including addiction and co-occurring disorders. All treatment plans are individualized, some offering support for less common mental health issues like fame addiction as well. Programs can be made to fit standard outpatient, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) intensities.
Treatment and Staff

While detox services are not offered on-site, those in need can get referrals to nearby programs. Because Lumion Center’s plans are so customizable, programs are not entirely standardized. Treatment draws on a range of modalities—though some of these include evidence-based treatment practices like CBT, DBT and EMDR, other sessions utilize holistic and Eastern traditions, covering yoga, spirituality, creative writing, drama therapy, improvisational expression, art and music therapy. Other topics covered include mindfulness, personal development, family systems, stress management and 12-step recovery. While the latter is available, participating in AA/NA is not a required part of treatment. The organization also provides dual diagnosis support including medication management whenever necessary, all with psychiatric oversight.
The staff at Lumion Center consists of MDs, LMFTs, psychologists, psychiatrists, Eastern medicine practitioners, dietitians and additional Master’s and PhD-level clinicians.
Extras
Due to the staff’s diverse training and experience, a wide range of additional holistic methods such as acupuncture, Reiki, Somatic Experiencing and yoga. Other medical services such as brainspotting and biofeedback may also be available for an additional fee. Those seeking aftercare services can also step down the intensity of their programming as well.
