The Basics
For over 15 years, Logan Community Services has been a non-profit organization providing various support services in Logan County, Oklahoma. The Logan Community Services substance abuse treatment program provides outpatient intervention, assessment and aftercare services to individuals and families suffering from alcoholism, other chemical abuse and co-dependency issues.
Treatment and Staff
Clients entering the outpatient substance abuse treatment and education program at Logan Community Services start with an hour-long sit-down with an intake specialist. For a one-time fee of $25 clients go over cost of services and payment agreements. The next step is meeting with an Logan Community Services counselor for an assessment. During this two-hour meeting, clients discuss service expectations and set goals. At this point the prospective clients may be placed on a waiting list until a spot becomes available.
Once officially in, clients take part in individual therapy once a week unless more is mandated by the state for legal reasons. Treatment is completely individualized and sessions are arranged whenever clients and their assigned counselor decide on a time. Group sessions utilize CBT and are provided throughout the week, at multiple hours covering a variety of topics such as relapse prevention and managing cravings. Clients must attend one group session per week. AA meetings are held on-site Wednesdays between 6 and 8 pm. Clients must make a 12-week minimum commitment to this program.
No person is denied service by Logan Community Services due to inability to pay. While private insurance is not accepted, clients may qualify for state funding and only be responsible for co-pay. As cost of services is determined based on income, maximum cost per therapy session is set at $85. The staff includes Master’s-level therapists and LCSWs.
Extras
Logan Community Services also offers a first time offender program, parenting education, and emergency youth shelter care. Urinalysis and hair follicle testing are also available by appointment only.

For those seeking counseling for substance abuse issues, Logan Community Services is a great place to receive that support. Referrals can be provided for those who need more intensive treatment, but Logan Community Services’ outpatient program offers affordable basic outpatient treatment.
