Davenport WashingtonThe Basics

Lincoln County Alcohol and Drug Center is a substance abuse treatment program offered by the Public Health Department of Lincoln County in Washington state. Located in the county seat of Davenport, Washington, the big-city resources of Spokane are a short 45 minutes away. The substance abuse treatment program offers both a basic outpatient program and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).

Treatment and Staff

The substance abuse treatment program at LCADC provides counseling for abuse of alcohol, street drugs, tobacco, prescription drugs, marijuana, methamphetamines, energy drinks and cough syrup. Before a client can begin a treatment program, they must first submit to an initial evaluation and assessment to determine the best level of care. From there, an individualized treatment plan that dictates the therapies and frequency of treatment that caters best to each client’s unique needs.

The standard outpatient track and the IOP both incorporate the same treatment modalities but the number of hours spent in treatment per week varies. Treatment plans combine individual and group therapy, alcohol and drug information school, family therapy, adolescent treatment, DUI assessments, legal assistance and outside referrals when necessary. Individual therapy sessions are scheduled independently, while group sessions are held several times a day from Monday to Friday. The 12-steps are not incorporated into the program, however clients are strongly encouraged to attend AA/NA meetings, and counselors offer referrals to local meetings for those who request them.

The staff at LCADC consists of CADCs, LSWs and LPCs.

Extras

The Lincoln County Public Health Department also offers a range of other health and wellness services. A substance abuse prevention program, mental health counseling services, developmental disabilities services and primary health care services are all available.
