Life Transformation Recovery Review
Located in Prescott, Arizona, Life Transformation Recovery is a Christian based treatment facility that provides detox and gender-specific residential programming. Treatment focuses on three aspects: spiritual, medical and therapeutic. While in treatment clients have daily group and individual therapy, physical wellness sessions, relapse prevention and many opportunities to work on spiritual growth. In addition, clients learn how to apply self care and accountability into their daily lives while participating in therapeutic activities and experiences.
Accommodations and Food
Both the men’s and women’s residential programs house their clients in a private house in a quiet, family friendly neighborhood. The bedrooms are set up with dorm style sleeping arrangements in bunk beds, and every client has their own dresser. Each home can accommodate up to eight clients. There are large, shared living rooms with cable TV and comfortable couches. The residences also feature a dining room, washer and dryer, and kitchens that are fully stocked.
Clients do receive gym memberships upon admission, but there are also work out rooms in each facility with free weights and compact machines on site.
There are always healthy snacks, like fresh fruit and nuts, available in the house.
Food is provided by the rehab but clients are responsible for preparing their own meals. Clients also have some say as to what food they are given, as long as it’s healthy.
Treatment and Staff
The on-site detox program is operated by a medical staff comprised of doctors and nurses who monitor the clients 24 hours a day. Detox usually lasts between three and 10 days depending on the substance. After stabilization occurs clients are moved into the residential facility for either the three or six month program. These programs are divided into phases with the first being focused on clients regaining their mental and physical strength through daily counseling, prayer groups and Bible study, medical care and exercise with a personal trainer. The second step involves incorporated the clients’ loved ones in therapy and getting back into school or work, and therapeutic group activities and experiences. The last step entails attending work or school full time, learning how to handle money and responsibility, and assisting with new clients.
Medical care and medication management are offered for all clients in addition to nutritional training. There are daily group sessions, 12-step meetings and regular individual therapy. Additionally, the clients attend church services three times a week and continue to study the Bible throughout their stay. There are transportation services for all clients to church, the treatment facility, activities and volunteering daily.
The staff is lead by the programs founder, David Sanchez, who is an RN, and includes MDs, LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCs and BHTs. There is also a staff nutritionist and personal trainer.
Extras
There are several sober recreational outings that take place on a regular basis. This includes hiking, biking, fishing, movie nights and camping.

Though this mindset might not be for everyone, this program has been incredibly successful for many people.
