The Basics
Prescott, Arizona’s Life Transformation Recovery provides both inpatient and outpatient care for adults dealing with chemical dependency. The outpatient track include a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and a step-down Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), as well as standard outpatient treatment. Programming is individualized and focuses on relapse prevention, psychoeducation and helping the client develop efficient coping and life skills. Life Transformation Recovery is a faith based program that was founded by RN David Sanchez as a place for those who are struggling with a life of addiction to find sobriety while renewing their spiritual beliefs.
Treatment and Staff
The outpatient treatment is an ideal step-down from the residential track offered at Life Transformation Recovery. The highest level of care, the PHP, is five days a week comprised of up to six hours a day of counseling and substance abuse education. The IOP requires three days a week of treatment for up to 90 days, and the standard OP is usually two days a week while attending school or working full time. All of these tracks request frequent drug screenings throughout the program.
Clients all have an individualized program and treatment goals. The team emphasizes the importance of living a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise, getting a secure support system and sponsor, improving problem solving skills and working on communication and repairing any family relationships that may have suffered due to an addiction.
Clients also begin to identify triggers and develop a relapse prevention plan. Once clients have worked their way through the outpatient steps they are able to have a better social and emotional understanding of themselves and can begin to enjoy their lives in recovery. With the focus on spirituality clients are often guided to Bible verses during their counseling sessions and attend church services.
Outpatient programming is mainly in a group therapy setting though there are also individual sessions offered too. Though many in this track do live at home there are also sober living options if needed. Additionally, clients with a dual diagnosis have access to medication management to help with mood stabilization and sleep.
The staff of Life Transformation Recovery is comprised of medical staff, LMFTs, LPCs, LISACs and BHTs. Most of the treatment team members are also sober and in recovery themselves.
Extras
In terms of aftercare, there is an alumni program for graduates of outpatient treatment. It facilitates sober activities and group trips. It also includes family counseling and a support system to those who are new to treatment.
