The Basics
Life Management Counseling Clinic is a privately owned mental and behavioral health treatment agency. Located in Lawton—just two hours outside of Oklahoma City—the substance abuse treatment offered by LMCC is an outpatient program specializing in treatment for co-occurring disorders. Using evidence-based methods of treatment and traditional therapy, this Southwestern Oklahoma facility also works with clients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).
Treatment and Staff
LMCC offers medically monitored outpatient detox services to those clients who have not completed the process yet. Following detox, clients are assessed and evaluated. The client evaluations help counselors develop an individualized treatment plan that caters to the unique recovery needs of the client and dictates the types of therapy the counselor thinks will be most effective and the frequency of sessions.
Staff incorporates CBT, DBT, trauma-related counseling and REBT. These treatment methodologies are implemented through individual and group therapy, family therapy and relapse prevention. There is also a specific co-occurring disorders group and specialized individual counseling for dual diagnosis clients. Individual and family therapy are scheduled independently between client and counselor, while group therapy and relapse prevention are held every day of the week (times may vary). The 12-steps are not incorporated into treatment, but clients are encouraged to attend meetings outside of the program and counselors may refer them upon request.
The staff at LMCC consists of LPCs, CADCs and LSWs.
Extras
In addition to the outpatient substance abuse treatment programs, LMCC also offers treatment for a variety of other behavioral health problems. General mental health counseling, legal assistance, counseling for victims of domestic violence and detox services are all available.

The outpatient program at Life Management Counseling Clinic is a traditional program for those seeking detox services and outpatient treatment that is individualized and tailored for those with co-occurring disorders. A credentialed staff incorporate a range of evidence based methods of treatment and clients are encouraged to attend 12-step meetings on their own. While this program is limited to basic outpatient care and those with more acute substance abuse issues may require are more intensive program, those seeking flexibility and a solid traditional program of recovery will be well served.
