Landmark Recovery Residential Review
Landmark Recovery is a behavioral healthcare and addiction treatment facility with three locations; Carmel Indiana, and Louisville and Lexington Kentucky. The brand new residential program operates out of the Carmel facility and was established in 2019. The state of the art treatment facility offers medical detox and inpatient care for adults. Treatment employs evidence based approaches in group and individual therapy sessions along with holistic protocol, 12-step and SMART Recovery meetings and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Landmark Recovery provides their clients with comprehensive wraparound programming in a comfortable and supportive environment.
Accommodations and Food
The free standing, private facility accommodates 48 clients in total. The rooms are semi private and gender specific with en suite bathrooms. The large, new hospital has several common areas and the campus features walking paths and outdoor seating.
While this is a clinical building, the residential spaces are very comfortable and spacious with twin beds, large windows, night stands, dressers and air conditioner. The lounge space is situated in the center of the client’s room and has a TV, couches and small tables.
The cafeteria and dining hall has several round tables where clients eat their three meals per day. This room also has a drinking fountain where and readily available snacks.
Treatment and Staff
The detox process at Landmark Recovery is typically four to seven days. During this stage of treatment clients are able to move through the withdrawal phase comfortably with the use of medications. This include Suboxone, Campral and anti nausea medications.
The residential phase is a 35 to 45 day track. After stabilization is achieved through detox clients are able to attend daily group therapy and other activities. There is at least 21 hours of therapy every week in addition to the six hours of recreation and exercise. Group therapy addresses issues like coping skills, fighting cravings, and the disease of addiction along with SMART Recovery, Seeking Safety and the 12-steps.
In the residential program clients attend at least two individual therapy sessions a week. Sessions offers dual diagnosis support and work towards uncovering the underlying issue that may have lead to the addiction in the first place.
Therapeutic approaches include CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and trauma informed care. Clients also have art and music therapy sessions in addition to their regular schedule of individualized programming.
The staff of the Carmel residential program include medical doctors, RN’s, LPN, LPC, addiction specialists and support staff.
Extras
Yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba, Jazzercise, Power 90 and basketball are part of the recreational activities available during treatment. There is also meditation and mindfulness practices.
This location has step down outpatient programming available, and a long term alumni program.
The family program consists of two weekly family therapy sessions.
