While the length of detox varies depending on the substance, outpatient detox typically requires between one and two hour-long visits a week. Upon completion, clients typically transition into IOP.
La Via offers an IOP that is perfect for clients that need consistent therapy but cannot commit to a full residential programs. Clients engage in treatment three days a week in either the morning or evening, in addition to a weekly one-on-one therapy. La Via employs a multifaceted approach to treatment that integrates a range of therapeutic models including psychoeducation, medication management, individual and group therapy in addition to the 12-step recovery method. Gender-based groups cover topics like relapse prevention, coping strategies for triggers and the disease of addiction.
La Via employs a multidisciplinary staff of CADCs, MFTs, case managers, nurses, addiction specialists, sober coaches, social workers and a psychiatrist. Medication management is available for clients in need of dual diagnosis support.

La Via places a premium on the importance of family therapy. To this end, the family program at La Via teaches families about boundaries, open communication and the difference between emotional support and enabling.
