The Basics
Kiner Psychology is the private practice of Dr. Eric Kiner, a psychologist who offers specialty counseling services to those who are struggling with a variety of anxiety related disorders, depression and other mental health concerns. Operating for over 10 years out of North Palm Beach, Florida, Dr. Kiner uses CBT as his main form of treatment along with other evidence-based approaches. Dr. Kiner is able to treat his clients in his office in addition to providing concierge services on a limited basis.
Treatment and Staff
Dr. Kiner provides a safe and judgement free space to his clients to seek treatment. Along with help for this struggling with anxiety and depression, treatment is also offered for anyone dealing with phobias, social anxiety, OCD and/or panic attacks. In addition, Dr. Kiner is devoted to treating clients of all ages, and has worked with adolescents, teens, and adults up to senior age. For younger clients he is able to address concerns with changes in behaviors, ADHD or acting out in school. This also pertains to the parents or caregivers of this age group, and in conjunction offers parenting classes and counseling. Other services cater to managing stress, substance abuse and addiction, codependency and enabling behaviors, impulsivity and drive management.
Upon meeting the clients, Dr. Kiner provides an assessment and determines the best treatment course of action. Every client is given a personalized treatment plan of one on one therapy. Dr. Kiner identifies common issues that are related to certain mental illnesses or disorders. For instance, Dr. Kiner is able to differentiate between anxiety based conditions, like panic disorders versus general anxiety or social anxiety.
In addition to CBT, Dr. Kiner uses a variety of other approaches like Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Motivational Interviewing (MI), exposure therapy and DBT.

There are marriage and couples counseling services offered in this office. Additional services include parenting counseling, sports mentoring, assisting with improving social skills, and how to handle fear and/or stress.
