Kedesh Rehabilitation Services
Kedesh in an Australian treatment facility that has both residential and outpatient care. Programming is entirely community based and not for profit. Kedesh treats men and women who are 16 and older dealing with addiction or co-occurring disorders. The curriculum includes SMART Recovery and CBT, along with psychoeducation and holistic modalities.
Accommodations and Food
Residential treatment at Kedesh offers 16 beds in semi-private (no more than two residents per room) bedrooms and shared bathrooms within a comfortable, home-like facility in Manly. There is a separate facility with 10 beds in Phoenix. Though these are clinical settings, the living quarters have many of the same amenities as a regular home. There are quiet lounges, kitchens and TV room.
Kedesh provides three square meals per day. These meals are from set menus that change every week.
Treatment and Staff
Incoming clients have to be fully detoxed by the time they come to Kedesh. There are no medical services on site, which also includes any maintenance programs. However, the team at Kedesh does work closely with every client’s GP. They can then facilitate medication management per the doctor’s approval. In case of emergency, there is a doctor on call.
This program is initially eight weeks. After the first week clients, Kedesh permits residents to leave the facility on Friday afternoons. They also allow them to go to scheduled appointments like the doctor or court dates.
Treatment at Kedesh includes individual therapy and group counseling, and customized treatment plans. Throughout treatment clients work with their primary therapist on their aftercare plan. Case management services area available too.
Group therapy covers relapse prevention, grounding, drug refusal skills and boundaries, personal relationships, anger and anxiety. Therapies include CBT, DBT, Gestalt, Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, and mindfulness approaches.
The team at Kedesh is made up of psychologists, case managers, addiction therapists, and support staff.
Extras
There is availability for clients who are up to 26 weeks pregnant at the time of admission.
Aftercare has several different options. There are weekly group therapy sessions, individual therapy, assertive aftercare for clients who wish to participate in aftercare services but don’t live in the area, and re-entry for those who have relapsed. This allows clients to stay at the facility for up to a month.

They design the program at Kedesh for young people who have fallen into some bad habits, experienced trauma, or made some decisions that sent them down a dark path. Kedesh takes in those who are ready to make positive changes but need a lot of help. The team here believes that everyone can change with the right amount of care and support.
