Just Believe Recovery Center Review

Founded by Cynthia Bellino, who has 20 years of experience in the field of substance abuse, Just Believe Recovery Center operates two residential treatment facilities and an outpatient program in Florida. Located on the east coast in Jensen Beach, both the men’s and the women’s recovery centers provide a strong continuum of care, from detox to outpatient. Clients receive individualized treatment plans that include dual diagnosis support.

Accommodations and Food

Both the men’s and the women’s residences are home-like cottages that accommodate 18, with two clients to a room. Given the residential nature of the facilities, there is no possibility of private rooms. Bathrooms are shared, but there is ample closet space for personal belongings. Meals are prepared by on-site staff, who also take care of cleaning tasks. Clients assist with chores as assigned, but are not expected to participate while in the very early stages of recovery.

Treatment and Staff

Clients that require medically monitored detox are treated at a nearby detox center. Treatment typically lasts five to seven days, but can take up to 10, if needed. During this phase, doctors and registered nurses monitor clients continuously. Upon completion, clients are moved to the residential program, for at least 30 days.

New residents are provided individualized treatment plans and remain under the care of a case manager throughout the length of their treatment. Psychiatric doctors and nurses manage medication that may be needed for treatment of co-occurring disorders. The multi-disciplinary approach utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities, including pschoeducation, group therapy and individual therapy. The use of EMDR can be introduced as needed. Group therapy and on-site 12-step meetings are attended daily, and clients work with a 12-step sponsor to complete the steps and other assignments.

Clients complete the residential program once recovery goals have been met. These are set at the start of treatment with the client, case manager and entire treatment team. Upon completion of the residential program, clients have the option to step down to the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which occurs three nights a week, for three hours. Length of time in the IOP varies, but typically lasts three months. Clients continue to participate in group therapy, with a focus on relapse prevention and further 12-step work. During this phase, clients may enter transitional living facilities or return home.

In addition to Bellino, the highly-trained staff of Just Believe includes a medical doctor, psychiatrist, licensed mental health counselor and several LADCs.

Extras

Family is also able to participate in the process by the way of family therapy sessions and by participating in their own counseling and education programs.

Just Believe Recovery Center has a great, gender-specific continuum of care for chemically dependent clients. With the comprehensive dual diagnosis support, as well as variety of therapeutic modalities offered, Just Believe provides structured support in Florida. Detox is not included in the cost, and is charged at $3,200, regardless of how long needed. All medications are included.
