Individual and group sessions are held under waterfalls, on top of mountains and in the rainforest. Clients engage in process groups that focus on psychoeducation, relapse prevention and the client’s own life story. Individuals also have the option of participating in specialized programs tailored to specific needs such as eating disorders, sex addiction and mental illnesses like bipolar disorder and anxiety.
The Jahara team is made up of a social worker, addiction specialists, counselors, student counselors and an emergency medical response unit that includes local physicians. For clients with co-occurring disorders, medication management is available and options for detox can also be overseen.
