Intercept Programs, Inc. is a family owned substance abuse facility in Olympia Fields, Illinois. Treatment and Staff
For DUI offenders referred to Intercept, the first step in the treatment process is to go through an individual intake session. This evaluation takes a person’s biological, psychological, environmental and social needs into account and assesses the extent of their drug or alcohol abuse. Though detox services are not available on-site, Intercept provides referrals when necessary. Outpatient scheduling is flexible, with a variety of day, evening and Saturday times available.
The outpatient program is offered in three levels: moderate risk, significant risk and high risk. Each program includes a mixture of individual and group therapy, covering topics such as mental health, relapse prevention, coping skills, trauma and anger management. Individual therapy is offered once a week with the client’s primary counselor. The moderate risk program meets for a minimum of 12 hours total of early intervention work. The significant risk program meets for a minimum of 20 hours, while the high risk program meets for a minimum of 75 hours. Evidence-based therapies such as CBT are used in all three programs, as are the 12 steps. Clients are highly encouraged to attend AA/NA meetings during their free time, though these are not required. Referrals to local community meetings can be made upon request.
Risk education is offered through a series of four classes that must be completed in consecutive order. The course includes education about DUI laws, the biological and psychological effects of alcohol and drugs, the progression to alcoholism and the dangers of operating motor vehicles while impaired.
Intercept Programs, Inc. uses evidence-based techniques and the 12 steps to tackle substance abuse. Clients who have run into trouble with the law or who are simply looking to find relief from their issues can find help here. Thanks to the inexpensive, individualized outpatient treatment, this organization can help clients embrace sobriety.
