The Basics
Integrated Health Clinics (IHC) offers an outpatient program for substance abuse in Milwaukie, Oregon—a suburb of Portland. IHC also has a location in Eugene, Oregon that treats individuals with opioid addiction. Founded in 2001, IHC is a CARF accredited organization that employs evidence based treatment methods to treat the Clackamas County community.
Treatment and Staff
After an assessment, clients and clinicians make a treatment plan that includes group therapy at least once a week. Counselors are also available for individual therapy, but clients with co-occurring disorders are referred to nearby mental health clinics for additional treatment. Groups usually have eight participants and are led by addiction counselors including CADCs. Topics explored include CBT skills, relapse prevention and handling triggers.
The duration of the program is progress-based, and counselors work with clients to formulate an individualized step down plan. Groups are offered Monday through Friday during the day, Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings.
Extras
IHC also offers opioid addiction treatment which combines Methadone medication management and group therapy in its Eugene location. It provides DUI services, HIV testing and TB testing, as well.

Integrated Health Clinics has been offering substance abuse treatment in Oregon for over fifteen years. Its flexible structure, small groups and daytime and evening/weekend hours may make it a good option for those seeking a basic outpatient program with one-on-one attention.
