Milwaukie OregonThe Basics

Integrated Health Clinics (IHC) offers an outpatient program for substance abuse in Milwaukie, Oregon—a suburb of Portland. IHC also has a location in Eugene, Oregon that treats individuals with opioid addiction. Founded in 2001, IHC is a CARF accredited organization that employs evidence based treatment methods to treat the Clackamas County community.

Treatment and Staff

After an assessment, clients and clinicians make a treatment plan that includes group therapy at least once a week. Counselors are also available for individual therapy, but clients with co-occurring disorders are referred to nearby mental health clinics for additional treatment. Groups usually have eight participants and are led by addiction counselors including CADCs. Topics explored include CBT skills, relapse prevention and handling triggers.

The duration of the program is progress-based, and counselors work with clients to formulate an individualized step down plan. Groups are offered Monday through Friday during the day, Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings.

Extras

IHC also offers opioid addiction treatment which combines Methadone medication management and group therapy in its Eugene location. It provides DUI services, HIV testing and TB testing, as well.

In Summary

Integrated Health Clinics has been offering substance abuse treatment in Oregon for over fifteen years. Its flexible structure, small groups and daytime and evening/weekend hours may make it a good option for those seeking a basic outpatient program with one-on-one attention.

  1. John Smith Client on

They have a newer location in Portland, OR on NE 82nd Ave that has been open since January 1st of 2018. To my knowledge, it’s essentially a sister clinic to their suburban Milwaukie location. I’ve been told they’re very comparable and similar to each other. I can personally add that their staff is some of the best. The higher ups (i.e. upper management / owners) don’t seem to be present often, which causes occasional inconveniences when it comes to things that need their approval. However, they have have an amazing staff all around that keeps the place in line. Barbara is one of the best, most caring nurses ive ever encountered. Kim is an absolutely great councilor that cares deeply about her clients. Everyone there is wonderful. The only complaint is the higher ups aren’t as involved and it effects things sometimes when their approval or presence is needed to accomplish something like advancing with take homeaw
