Situated just south of Vancouver in the town of White Rock, British Columbia, Inspire Change Wellness Addiction Treatment Centre for Men is a luxury treatment facility that specializes in the care of clients struggling with alcohol and substance use disorders as well as co-occurring disorders. Accommodations and Food
Minutes away from the White Rock Pier at Semiahmoo Bay, Inspire Change Wellness is situated in two luxury multi-level houses with beautiful modern architecture. With only 15 residents staying at a time, and only between seven and eight per home, Inspire fosters an atmosphere that is both private and communal. Residents can stay in both private or semi-private bedrooms, all equipped with queen-sized beds, large en suite bathrooms, plenty of closet space and large windows featuring stunning views of the ocean. In addition, the houses offers spacious communal rooms with plush furnishings and flat screen TVs, outdoor balconies with comfortable patio furniture, a fitness center and a spa. With its gorgeous panoramic views and solitude, clients enjoy a serene environment to begin their recovery. Inspire puts a premium on comfort, solitude and privacy. To this end, clients are not permitted to bring electronic devices such as computers, video games or mobile phones. Clients instead are encouraged to focus on their recovery.
Inspire believes in “healing through cooking,” and employs a private chef that prepares delicious cuisine that replenishes nutrients. For individuals with dietary restrictions or allergies, preferences can be accommodated.
Treatment and Staff
Inspire offers treatments for clients struggling with a range of addictions including heroin, methadone, alcohol, cocaine and prescription drugs. Inspire believes that addictions rarely exist in isolation. In keeping with this philosophy, men entering treatment undergo a comprehensive assessment that helps the Inspire team determine the most effective treatment plan tailored to his specific needs. When deemed necessary, clients immediately transition into the detox program. Inspire offers a comfortable, medical detox that includes an onsite general practitioner and around-the-clock supervision. Upon completion, clients typically transition into the residential program.
While the length of residential treatment varies depending on the specific needs and goals of the client, residents typically stay between 45 and 90 days. Treatment integrates an array of therapeutic approaches including evidence-based practices and holistic methods as well as experiential therapy and physical fitness. Clients participate in individual, group and family therapy with counselors that utilize CBT, ACT and Motivational Interviewing (MI). In addition, topic groups focus on issues like self-esteem, stress management, life transitions and goals as well as a concentration on relapse prevention.
The Inspire Change Wellness staff is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, counselors, clinicians, Master’s-level therapists, addiction specialists, a yoga instructor and a head chef. Medication management is available for individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Holistic methods include yoga, breathing, mindfulness meditation, nutritional counseling and self-affirmation.
Aftercare is an integral component to the success of a sustainable long-term recovery. To this end, clients that complete the residential program are provided free aftercare treatment in the event of relapse.
