The Basics
Insights Counseling Center was founded in 2009 by Karin Weiri-Kolle, a LMFT with over 20 years of experience. Located in Orange City, Florida, Insights provides outpatient substance abuse treatment utilizing the 12 steps and EMDR—helping clients build a firm foundation in recovery.
Treatment and Staff
Outpatient treatment at ICC is available to adults attending voluntarily or as a result of a court order, DUI sentence or an employer’s request. Before the program begins each participant must go through a thorough evaluation to determine an appropriate level of care. Each client’s program is individualized and the duration of treatment varies depending on the person. Typically, programs usually lasts about 12 weeks.
Clients typically attend weekly group therapy sessions along with one individual therapy session per month. Those who need to attend more one-on-one sessions can make arrangements to do so for an extra fee. EMDR is used frequently at ICC to help breakthrough past trauma, fear, anger or disappointment. The facility also requires all clients attend weekly AA or NA meetings within the local community. Frequent urinalysis tests are required for all clients attending outpatient care. In addition to the above, group therapy also addresses subjects like relapse prevention, anger management, coping skills, stress management, parenting and domestic violence.
Extras
ICC offers workshops at the facility to address a number of issues including how to manage anxiety and coping when a family member or loved one is an addict. There are also couples’ counseling services available on an individualized basis. ICC also has limited Spanish-speaking services available as well, with a Spanish-speaking counselor available on-site once a week.
