Inroads to Recovery Review
Inroads to Recovery is located in Omaha, Nebraska. Since 2004 Inroads has been providing comprehensive addiction recovery services. Treatment includes residential and outpatient care. The programming is individualized and comprised of 12-step support, individual and group therapy, evidence-based approaches, and medication management. These services are available to men and women struggling with substance use disorders and mental health issues.
Accommodations and Food
Inroads is a free standing hospital with 20 to 25 beds. Men and women reside on separate sides of the facility. The rooms are double occupancy with en suite bathrooms. There are several common areas, including a lounge with TV, couches and tables.
Residents enjoy all meals in the facility cafeteria. The cooking staff prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner on site. There are also snacks and coffee available.
Treatment and Staff
Inroads offers a number of mental health and addiction services. This includes evaluations, standard outpatient care that addresses substance abuse and mental health separately, an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), a 30-day residential program, and a track specifically for opioid addicts.
The addiction tracks are based on the 12 steps, though are not religious. The IOP includes medication management, individual and group therapy, and psychoeducation for nine hours a week. Clinicians incorporate relapse prevention and recovery based into every aspect of treatment.
In terms of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), methadone is not available at this facility, but Suboxone is. There are also programming elements specifically for clients with co-occurring disorders, and for those who are at risk of experiencing alcohol withdrawals. Certain medications alleviate any dangerous withdrawal symptoms, and the staff monitors clients in this position 24 hours a day until they are safely through the withdrawal process.
In addition to medications and group support, participants can expect evidence-based protocols such as CBT and Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET). Throughout treatment clients work with their primary therapist and other staff in an effort to have the ability to return to work and their communities successfully. There is an emphasis on having clients explore their past experiences and address traumas that may have led them to using in the first place through psychodynamic therapy approaches.
The staff of Inroads to Recovery includes a team of psychiatrists, LADCs, PLMPHs, IADCs, and NCCs.
