IN2REKOVERY Foundation Review
IN2REKOVERY Foundation offers sober living facilities and 12-step support to adult men and women in Los Angeles, California’s San Fernando Valley. The programs are built on a family systems approach and focus on learning new life and coping skills, relapse prevention and education. There are also a variety of additional treatment services that are available upon request that can include counseling and anger management.
Accommodations and Amenities
The home-like facilities are in five locations throughout the valley: North Hollywood, Van Nuys, Encino, Valley Village and Sherman Oaks. All of the residences are within walking distance to grocery stores, shops and restaurants, in addition to public transportation hubs and major freeways. Men and women live in separate facilities and stay in double or triple occupancy bedrooms that are fully furnished with full beds, dressers and desks.
The living room has a TV with cable and Internet is available throughout the house. There is also a shared house computer. Additionally, the homes feature on-site washers and dryers.
The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and other dining neccessities. Food is generally not included in housing, however there are some instances when clients do get meals.
Rules and Regulations
Incoming clients to IN2REKOVERY are required to be very active within the 12-step community and attend regular AA or NA meetings every week in addition to having a reliable sponsor. There are random drug tests given that clients have to submit to. There are also weekly house meetings with the facility manager that are mandatory for all clients. In order to stay in good standing in the house, every client needs to find a job or be enrolled in school. The staff offers job placement assistance, along with community and employment resources.
For clients who are newer to sobriety, it may be recommended that they attend an outpatient treatment program, IN2REKOVERY is able to connect clients to an outside agency that offers group and individual therapy, or medication management for dual diagnosis support.
The transitional housing staff consists of a house and assistant manager who are on site and available 24 hours a day to assist with any needs of the clients. All staff members are in recovery as well.
Extras
In addition to connecting clients to outpatient chemical dependency services, there are also connection for medical and dental services, occupational therapy, suicide prevention, social development skills classes and anger management courses.
