The home is equipped with private and semi-private bedrooms, several therapy rooms, a large open common area, communal dining area, and a lounge for relaxing and socializing as well as an outdoor swimming pool with a patio. Clients enjoy grilling on the outdoor barbeque, playing volleyball in the backyard and having movie nights in the living room. In addition to the beaches and water recreation activities, there are hiking trails nearby.
Residents enjoy delicious and nutritious meals prepared by Immersion’s onsite chef. Individuals with dietary restrictions and preferences can be accommodated.
Treatment and Staff
Clients entering treatment undergo a comprehensive assessment to help determine the most effective action plan to meet the specific needs of the individual. If deemed necessary, clients immediately enter the detox program. Immersion provides a medical detox that includes supervision by the around-the-clock nursing team as well as medication to minimize withdrawal symptoms. In addition, clients will begin the 12-step immersion process. Upon completion of detox, clients typically transition directly into the residential program.
While in residential treatment, clients are responsible for completing the first seven steps of the 12-step method. This typically lasts 30 days, though the length of care can vary depending on the specific needs of the client. While the 12-step method is the backbone of the programming, Immersion utilizes an integrated program that integrates evidence-based therapies like CBT, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Solution-Focused therapy as well as holistic methods like mindfulness-based relapse prevention. Clients are assigned a primary therapist and works with them in group and individual sessions throughout the program. In addition, Immersion educates clients on addiction as a disease, provides life skills training and employment assistance.
The Immersion Recovery Center team is comprised of LADCs, a clinical team, addiction specialists, therapists and a nursing team. Medication management is available for individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Immersion recognizes the importance of family in the success of a sustainable long-term recovery. To this end, Immersion staff works with the client’s family to determine a long-term plan that includes setting up boundaries as well as emergency measures.
In addition, the facility understands the likelihood of relapse prevention during the transition back into regular life. As such, the client is introduced to a trusted network of sober living homes and is connected to the free Immersion alumni program. Alumni get together three times a week for workshops.
