Imagine Programs LLC Review
Located in Plano, Texas, Imagine Programs LLC provides outpatient treatment for substance abuse to adults and adolescents. Services include assessments, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and general outpatient care. All treatment is based in evidence-based therapies.
Treatment and Staff
Before beginning at IP, each client must undergo an initial evaluation to determine an appropriate level of care. Support for co-occurring disorders is available through therapy, with referrals for outside psychiatric evaluations also available. Detox and residential treatment are not available at this facility, but referrals can be provided for those needing that level of care.
The eight-week IOP meets three times a week for three hours per session. Treatment includes one individual session per week and three hours of group therapy. Topics covered during groups include relapse prevention, life skills, coping mechanisms, family dynamics, relationships and emotional processing. Therapy sessions rely primarily on the use of CBT. Groups sizes vary from eight to 12 clients at a time.
In addition to therapy, clients also receive education on the effects of prolonged chemical dependency as well as the addiction as disease model. IP also makes an appeal to spiritually-based recovery through meditation and relaxation techniques. While clients are not required to attend AA/NA outside of the program, referrals to meetings in the community are available upon request.
Family involvement is also an important aspect of recovery at IP. IOP offers weekly family sessions, creating a home contract that the client and family members sign. Therapy sessions generally discuss codependency and communication issues. The facility also offers weekly family support meetings where family members of clients in any group level can come to discuss their loved ones. The staff at IP consists of LCDCs.
Extras
Following the completion of IOP, an eight-week relapse prevention course is available as aftercare. This program focuses on group therapy, meeting once a week to cover topics such as coping skills, processing and relationships.
Additional services include art and music therapy options for IOP clients and an eight-week alcohol and drug awareness program that focuses on CBT in a group setting. For Spanish speakers, both the awareness program and assessments are offered in Spanish.

This facility encourages, but doesn’t require, 12-step meeting attendance and uses evidence-based therapies to promote a new way of life.
